A clean-out that actually clears the downspouts
The most common gutter problem in Horn Lake is not the gutter itself. It is the downspout elbow, where acorns, pine cones, and packed leaves jam solid. A gutter can look tidy from the ground while the downspout is completely blocked, and the first heavy rain sends water pouring over the edge.
That is why every clean-out we do includes a full downspout flush. We hand scoop every run of gutter, bag the debris, and then run water through each downspout until it flows freely. Before and after photos are texted to your phone so you can see the whole job.
Pine needles: the Horn Lake special
Horn Lake has plenty of pines, and pine needles are the sneakiest gutter filler there is. They are thin enough to slip past most gutter guards, and once inside they mat together into a dense, wet layer that holds water against the gutter bottom. That weight bends hangers and the moisture rots the fascia behind the gutter.
If your home has pines anywhere near the roofline, plan on cleaning twice a year at minimum: late fall after the leaf drop and late spring after pollen season. Homes with heavy cover often need a third visit in midwinter.
What overflow costs you
When gutters overflow, the water has to go somewhere, and it always chooses the worst places: behind your siding, into your flower beds, and down along your foundation. Rotted fascia, stained siding, eroded mulch, and crawlspace moisture all start the same way, and every one of those repairs costs many times more than a cleaning. A $99 clean-out twice a year is cheap insurance against all of it, and it takes us about an hour.
